Old Broad Street Presbyterian Church
Bridgeton, NJ

Bridgeton, NJ's first house of worship, Old Broad Street Presbyterian was built in 1792. The church was preserved and never altered after 1836 when the congregation relocated. A structural conditions assessment was performed on the brick structure, and structural repairs were designed. The wood-shingle roof and its timber trusses were in need of repair, and several of the brick masonry walls were bulging. An Historic Structures Report documented the history of the building and its construction, identified structural issues, and made recommendations for repair and restoration of the building.
