Special Structures

This project represents efforts to reinforce the structural stability of two larger-than-life marble statuary groupings that flank the main entrance to the PA State Capitol. Reinforcements and pinning were developed to support the fragile stone, and secure the 27 figures to the bases. Ongoing conservation will include monitoring of recent cracks to prevent future deterioration.
