Keast & Hood Co. served as the structural engineer and prime consultant for the project to provide enhanced voting, data, and telecommunications services within the Senate Chamber, part of the 1902 annex to the 1779 Maryland State House. The chamber’s floor was altered and retrofitted with a concealed walker duct system to hide all new infrastructure. Additionally, the project restored all of the fixed senators’ desks and president’s rostrum furniture.
