Nobel and Pulitzer prize-winning author Pearl S. Buck bequeathed her Bucks County farmhouse as an educational center showcasing the societal contributions of women. Keast & Hood Co. performed a structural condition assessment of the 1835 National Historic Landmark stone house and its three 1930s additions for a formal Historic Structures Report. Then, full structural engineering services were provided for a two-phase project to repair deteriorated structural elements and upgrade floor load capacities to better accommodate public visitation.
