The Left Bank
Philadelphia, PA

The former Pennsylvania Railroad industrial warehouse and freight train station was converted to luxury loft apartments and retail space. Structural design for the adaptive reuse included infilling existing train track areas up to the former platform level, and demolishing two central bays of the existing structure to create a four-story open courtyard running two-thirds the length of the building. The Left Bank is one of the largest properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places to be converted to residential use.
