The Victor Building
Camden, NJ
The former "Nipper Building" headquarters of the RCA Victor Talking Machine Company was converted into 341 loft-style apartments. The original building was constructed in five sections, each with a different concrete structural system. For the adaptive reuse, the entire structure was reconfigured including creation of a central courtyard and updated fireproofing. Portions of the original switchback ramp were renovated, as was the exterior cornice, and the 75-foot tower and its landmark stained glass image of Nipper the dog "listening to his master's voice."
