Work in Progress - April 2008
18 West Saratoga Street
Baltimore, MD
Part of the West Side Revitalization in Baltimore, the new mixed-use building at 18 West Saratoga Street will be the first of its kind in the region and only the second in the nation to feature a fully-automated parking garage with mechanized automobile lifts and transporters. In addition to the garage, which will accommodate approximately 397 vehicles over a mere 6,000 square footprint, the building will include a 22-unit residential apartment program over nine stories. Keast & Hood Co. is involved as structural engineer for the project, which incorporates a structural steel-framed tower housing the 15-level automated parking system and a nine-story cast-in-place concrete flat slab residential component.
